Your First SERP Analysis
Let's walk through running a SERP analysis step by step.
Step 1: Navigate to Your Project
From your dashboard, click on the project where you want to run the analysis. If you haven't created a project yet, create one first.
Step 2: Click "New Analysis"
In your project dashboard, click the "New Analysis" button in the top right corner.
Step 3: Enter Your Keyword
Type in the keyword you want to rank for. For example: "content marketing strategies"
Keyword Tips
- • Use the exact phrase you want to rank for
- • Include modifiers if relevant (e.g., "best", "guide", "2024")
- • Start with specific keywords, not broad topics
Step 4: Select Location & Language
Choose the target country (e.g., United States) and language (e.g., English). This determines which Google results we analyze.
Step 5: Run the Analysis
Click "Analyze" and wait 30-60 seconds. Content Pilot will fetch the top 20 Google results and analyze each page.
Step 6: Review Results
Your analysis is ready! You'll see:
- Overview: Recommended word count, keyword difficulty
- NLP Keywords: Terms to include in your content
- Headings: Common H2/H3s used by competitors
