WordPress Integration

Publish optimized content directly to your WordPress site without copy-pasting.

Setup Requirements

  • WordPress 5.0 or higher
  • REST API enabled (enabled by default)
  • Application password (WordPress 5.6+) or our plugin

Connection Method 1: Application Password

  1. In WordPress, go to Users → Your Profile
  2. Scroll to "Application Passwords"
  3. Enter "Content Pilot" as the name
  4. Click "Add New Application Password"
  5. Copy the generated password
  6. In Content Pilot, go to Settings → Integrations
  7. Enter your WordPress URL, username, and application password

Connection Method 2: Plugin

  1. Download our WordPress plugin from Settings → Integrations
  2. Upload and activate in WordPress
  3. Copy the API key from the plugin settings
  4. Paste in Content Pilot

Publishing Content

  1. After optimizing content in the editor, click "Export"
  2. Select "To WordPress"
  3. Choose your connected site
  4. Select post status (Draft, Pending, or Publish)
  5. Choose category and tags
  6. Set featured image (optional)
  7. Click "Publish"

Pro Tip

Publish as "Draft" first to review formatting in your theme before going live.

Importing from WordPress

You can also import existing WordPress posts to optimize them:

  1. In the Content Editor, click "Import"
  2. Select "From WordPress"
  3. Search for the post by title
  4. Click "Import" to load the content
